Grambling Police arrested a Baton Rouge man on a drug charge Saturday while investigating a report of gunshots.
Grambling police officers responded to an Igoe Inn Road apartment complex in response to reports of multiple gunshots about 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning. While dispersing a large party crowd, an officer saw a man who matched the description of a suspect in a fight earlier in the evening at Roger’s Mini Mart.
Damon T. Perkins, 20, was questioned after it was determined he wore the same clothing as seen in surveillance video at the store. A search was conducted and Adderall, a Schedule II controlled substance, was found in his front left pants pocket.
Perkins said he did not have a prescription for the Adderall. He was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Bail was set at $7,500.
