The opening reception for a solo show featuring the artwork of Ruston’s Hooshang Khorasani is set for May 3 at Lake Street Gallery as part of the month’s Downtown Shreveport Artwalk.
“Spring Palette Collection” will run throughout May and will feature three of Khorasani’s genres: florals, abstracts and running horses.
Lake Street Gallery is part of The Agora Borealis Art Marketplace. In addition to providing a central space for artists to exhibit their work, The Agora Borealis also provides management for several gallery spaces in the Shreveport-Bossier area.
The reception is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. at 413 Lake St. while the artwalk itself is from 5-8 p.m. at multiple sites along Crockett and Lake streets. In addition to art, the event will feature live music, food trucks, history presentations, tours and more.
Regular Lake Street Gallery hours are weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Agora Borealis calls Khorasani’s work “incredibly fascinating and delightful.”
