Former Ruston High School assistant coach Todd Garvin has been hired as the next head coach at West Monroe High School, according to a press release from the school.

Todd Garvin, who has spent the past few seasons as the head coach at Ouachita High School, has been named the Rebels new gridiron boss.

A press conference will be held today at 1 p.m. in the Main Office Lobby at West Monroe High School.

Garvin spent 16 years at West Monroe as an assistant before serving as the QB and running backs coach for the Bearcats prior to moving to Ouachita as the Lions head coach and AD over the past two years.

Ruston snapped a three-decade losing streak against West Monroe this season on its way to the state title game. The Bearcats and the Rebels will meet in District 2-5A action once again this fall.
