A Ruston woman was arrested Saturday night after she had allegedly trespassed and committed theft at Walmart.
Ruston Police officers responded to the Walmart on the North Service Road about 11:00 p.m. Saturday regarding a theft. A Walmart asset protection officer stated Marion McCann, 22, was seen on camera placing items in her purse. He stated he tried to work with McCann, but she continued to lie to him about having merchandise in her purse. Walmart indicated McCann had been banned from the store since January 30, 2022. The list of items McCann had taken totaled $79.26.
McCann was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for theft by shoplifting and entry and remaining after being forbidden (criminal trespass).
