Ruston High announces honors, highest honors graduates

Ruston High School announced this week 31 graduates with honors and 15 graduates with highest honors for the 2023 graduation ceremony set for tonight at 7 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.

“We are extremely proud of all of our graduates,” Ruston High principal Dan Gressett said. “This class has had so many obstacles over the last four years, but they have persevered. The requirements, dedication, and work ethic necessary to be a highest honor graduate or honor graduate at Ruston High School are strenuous. The high number that we have graduating with honors is a testament to the students, their families, and our faculty.”

Honors graduates and highest honors graduates at Ruston High must have a minimum of 20 Carnegie units of honors credits. Students with a GPA of 3.5 and above that made no less than a B graduate with honors, while graduates that earn all A’s qualify for highest honors.
