The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Choudrant man last week after he allegedly assaulted two people with a pistol.
Kevin L. Hargrove, 39, was arrested May 28 after deputies responded to a Plantation Road residence regarding a shooting. A woman told deputies a verbal altercation took place that turned physical. During that altercation, she heard a loud pop and then found her foot was bleeding from a possible gunshot wound.
A man told deputies Hargrove pointed a pistol at him, demanding he retrieve a rifle Hargrove accused him of stealing. During the incident, a fight took place and the pistol Hargrove had discharged one time.
Hargrove admitted the pistol fired during the fight but denied pointing it at the man. A 9mm pistol was recovered from the residence.
Hargrove was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal discharge weapon and detention center. Bail was set at $45,000.
