A Dubach man was arrested last week for his second DWI and criminal trespassing after deputies were advised of suspicious behavior at a residence on La. Highway 822.
Deputies responded to a call on May 29 about an impaired man going to a residence and entering the homeowner’s vehicle. The caller reported the man left and a black pickup before deputies arrived.
The pickup was located and stopped on Highway 822 near U.S. 167. The driver, Joshua J. Herring, 41, appeared to be intoxicated. Herring was placed under arrest and sobriety tests were attempted but Herring was apparently too impaired to complete them. He admitted to drinking beers earlier in the day and taking a prescription medication.
Herring was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for a second offense DWI and criminal trespassing.
