Ruston’s third annual Juneteenth Celebration set for Saturday

This Weekend is the 3rd Annual Real Change in Ruston Juneteenth Celebration.  This year the celebration will start on Friday and feature a free gospel seminar for all gospel artists looking to get in the industry, the finals of Gospel Independent Artist Showcase and the big concert featuring three of the biggest names in gospel music. 
The free gospel seminar will feature sessions taught by industry leaders and professionals  to help artists navigate their way in the industry starting at 9am at Zion Traveler Baptist Church.  
At 6 pm the finals of the Gospel Independent Artist Showcase will take place, where the winner will win $1,000 and open for the big concert Saturday night, plus national radio and Television exposure.  The event is free and will be held at Zion Traveler Baptist Church in Ruston. 
Finally, the weekend will conclude with the biggest gospel concert to hit the area this year.    It features 11 time Stellar Award winner Pastor Mike Jr. two time Grammy Award nominee James Fortune, and Dove Stellar Award nominee Kelontae Gavin and the Ruston Interdenominational Choir. There will also be kids zone, food trucks and visitors and great fun.  The gates open at 6pm and the concert begins at 6:30.
