
A Choudrant man was arrested Thursday at a Ruston beauty store after he allegedly shoplifted there twice in recent months.
Ruston Police responded to Ulta on the North Service Road about 7 p.m. to find Alijawon Marks, 36, who employees stated had torn into a package and removed the anti-theft sensor from merchandise valued at $144.
One employee recognized Marks as the suspect in a April 17 shoplifting where $1,551 in merchandise was taken. A photo was shown of Marks in that incident wearing the same hat he was wearing Thursday.
Marks was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for theft over $1,000 and theft under $500.
Bail was set at $5,000.
