Devin loved everything outdoors. If it moved – he would hunt it. Devin loved still hunting and running dogs. The saying goes, “shoot it, stuff it, or marry it” – that he definitely did! Devin loved children and spent hours teaching Tesley how to shoot and taking her and Adrian hunting and running dogs. He carried his children and nephews hunting, fishing and to the dirt track every chance he got. Devin even jumped in the Bayou to pull out a 40 pound grass carp Barrett caught on a 3 foot Zebco with a 6 pond test and had it mounted on top of that. He was the best uncle ever!
Devin loved his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. His Bible could always be found on the dash of his truck. Devin was a very giving person with a heart of gold. He was always there when family, friends and neighbors needed a helping hand.
His favorite verse was John 15:13 which says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. Devin lived this verse every day.
Devin is now home – he’s holding his baby and sitting with his daddy at the feet of Jesus. The family wants to express its love for you all and their appreciation of being lifted up through this time of sorrow. They would like to give a special thanks to those who visited, called and, most of all, prayed for Devin and their family through this final journey in Devin’s life. A very special thank you goes out to Ashlie Jennings and her family who took care of Devin in his last days.
