A Ruston man was arrested by Grambling Police during the investigation of a domestic dispute Monday afternoon.
Jasiah Rayshun Foster, 28, was arrested by police after responding to a 911 call at a College Avenue apartment. In the call, a woman reportedly called 911, stating her boyfriend had battered her.
At the scene, the woman told officers Foster started to choke her and covered her mouth. The victim said she thought Foster was playing, but then he supposedly became more aggressive.

As the victim tried to leave the apartment, Foster allegedly pulled her back inside and continued to restrain her after she went into a bathroom. The victim told Foster to leave, and he gathered his things but then “mushed” her face, causing her to fall and hit her head on the floor.
Foster left, but returned and banged on the apartment door, demanding the victim let him in. She called 911 again and GPD stopped Foster traveling on College Avenue.
Foster was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for battery of a dating partner. His bail amount was not available Wednesday afternoon.
