Man arrested on fight call

The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Ruston man Friday evening on several warrants while investigating a fight at a Scott Road residence. 

Deputies responded to a fight in progress about 5 p.m. Friday. During the investigation, it was learned Deondra M. Jackson, 28, had been in an argument. Jackson allegedly threatened to throw a brick at a car which started a fight.


Deputies learned Jackson was wanted for failure to appear in Ruston City Court on several charges. He was placed under arrest and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on failure to appear warrants for driving under suspension, switched license plate, speeding, and failure to register a vehicle. Bail was set at $8,000.
