Motorist booked on several warrants

A West Monroe man was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center last Tuesday after the deputy who stopped him learned the man was wanted on numerous warrants.

Joseph Craft, 35, was stopped for a traffic violation by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night. A records check revealed Craft was wanted on three warrants for failure to appear in Third Judicial District Court for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and operating a vehicle without proper equipment.

Craft was also wanted by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office on warrants for felony theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

No bail was indicated due to the charges being for failure to appear in court.
