Memorial services for Robert Maurice “Robbie” Jones, III, age 66 of Ruston, LA will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Dana Thrash officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of service Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the funeral home.
Robbie was born August 28, 1956 in Shreveport, LA to Bobby and Madge Jones and passed away August 24, 2023 in Ruston. He grew up in Shreveport and graduated from Southwood High School. Robbie was on the tennis team and was a horse jockey after school. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends until he had to have shoulder surgery. Robbie’s grandpa would take him to Dallas Cowboys games, which resulted in him being a lifelong Cowboys fan. He worked for Enable Midstream for over forty years and retired in 2017. His greatest loves were his family and his dog Bella. Robbie was proceeded in death by his parents.
Robbie is survived by his wife of forty years Patricia Jones; two sons Bobby Jones (Lauren) and Stephen Jones; two granddaughters Marlee Jones and Chloee Jones; sister Kathleen Dancy (Ron Smith); and childhood best friend Rick Jones.
