Drug arrest follows campus traffic stop

Grambling State University Police arrested a Shreveport man on drug charges early last Sunday morning following a traffic stop on campus.

Adrien D. Myles, 19, was arrested about 3:15 a.m. last Sunday after marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in a car in which he was a passenger.

GSU Police stopped the car for no headlights or taillights on College Avenue and immediately smelled marijuana when the driver lowered her window. A search of the car was conducted with loose marijuana found scattered across the vehicle. A fanny pack containing a bag of suspected marijuana, cigars, and a digital scale was found on the floorboard.

Upon questioning, Myles claimed ownership of the fanny pack. He was arrested and booked for possession of over 14 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
