A Ruston man was arrested Friday night after he allegedly left the scene of an accident.
Ruston Police were called to a West Georgia Avenue residence to investigate a hit and run accident. The victim told officers her car was struck by a black Jeep with a tail hitch that left the scene before she could talk to the driver.

Minutes later, other officers located the Jeep traveling on the North Service Road. The driver, Luke Higginbotham, 22, denied striking any vehicles. However, a passenger in the car said Higginbotham struck a car and left the scene when the victim attempted to approach him.
Higginbotham was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for misdemeanor hit and run driving.
