A Ruston man was arrested Friday night after he gave two false names to police after he was stopped for a traffic violation.
Eddrick Hampton, 41, was stopped by Ruston Police about 11:00 p.m. Friday night on West Alabama Avenue for improper lane usage. An officer saw an open container in the center console and asked the driver his name. Hampton allegedly gave two false names before finally identifying himself correctly.
A records check showed Hampton’s driver’s license was suspended and he was wanted on warrants for failure to appear in Ruston City Court.
Hampton was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for driving under suspension, resisting an officer by giving false identification, open container, improper lane usage, and warrants charging him failure to appear on resisting and suspended license charges.
