Student accosted on campus

A Grambling State University student reported he was accosted on campus by a man dressed as a woman who touched him inappropriately about 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Lantavious Carson, 26, of Bastrop, was arrested by GSU Police after the victim reported he was seated on a bench by the campus cafeteria when the man dressed as a female approached him.

The victim said the suspect sat beside him on a bench and asked if the victim wanted a massage. The victim said no. The man then complimented the victim’s appearance and started rubbing him. The victim told the man to stop who then allegedly started rubbing the victim’s legs and genital area.

The victim ran to the GSU police station to report the incident. As the victim talked to officers, Carson was spotted and taken into custody.

Carson was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for sexual battery and unlawful disruption of the operation of a school. Bail was set at $20,000.
