
The Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team executed two search warrants for drugs Tuesday morning resulting in the arrest of two men.
Xavier D. Mitchell, 35, of Ruston, was arrested on numerous charges after LPNET and the Lincoln Parish Special Response Team served the warrant at 500 East Colorado Avenue. Mitchell, a woman, and a 16-year-old juvenile were found at the residence.

Alprazolam, digital scales, and a vacuum sealing machine were recovered during the search.
Mitchell was wanted on three arrest warrant for the distribution of methamphetamine. He was also arrested for possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance (alprazolam), possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the Controlled Substances Act in a drug-free zone, and possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a person under 17.
Mitchell was also booked on a warrant for failure to appear in court for failure to pay child support.
Bail was set at $235,000.
About an hour later, LPNET executed a second search warrant at 601 East Mississippi Avenue, resulting in the arrest of Brandon T. Hassen, 46, of Ruston.
A search of the residence reveal methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, several digital scales, a vacuum sealer, and various paraphernalia for packaging drugs. Three firearms were found in Hassen’s bedroom.
Hassen was booked for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the Controlled Substances Act in a drug-free zone, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and possession of firearms during the commission of a drug felony.
Bail was set at $240,000.
