Few volleyball teams in North Louisiana outside of Ruston have the type of home gym advantage quite like Natchitoches Central High School with a loud and active student section.
And that made the Ruston High Lady Bearcat sweep Tuesday night that much sweeter, as RHS took all three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-23 following a memorable night by senior Hannah Rollins.
“It was a great win tonight,” Ruston head coach Mandy Cauley said. “Hannah had herself a night. Our offense was unstoppable. We did so great in transition, and the hitters did a great job of getting available. And we were very strong on the service line. Getting the sweep feels good.”
Rollins finished with 14 kills along with three blocks and kills, while senior Jade Smith totaled nine kills on the night, as well.
Freshman Baylor Cauley finished with 28 assists, while senior Allie Richardson totaled 17 digs.
Ruston returns to action Thursday, Sept. 28, back at the Ruston Sports Complex for a match with Loyola. Freshman will start at 4 p.m., varsity is set for 5 p.m., and junior varsity will open serve at 6 p.m.
