Louisiana Tech Bowling head coach Matt Nantais announced the Bulldog’s 2023-24 schedule on Wednesday, featuring 10 regular season tournaments and the inaugural CUSA Championship.
LA Tech opens the season looking to defend their crown at the SWIBC in Dallas on Oct. 7-8. The following week, the team travels to New Orleans for the Colonial Lanes Classic hosted by Tulane from Oct. 13-15.
November has the Bulldogs travel to Houston from Nov. 3-4 for one of the biggest events of the year with the Track Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston. The fall portion of the schedule concludes with the Hawk Classic put on by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Woodbridge, Va. From Nov. 16-19.
The first tournament of 2024 will have the Bulldogs travel to Las Vegas from Jan. 7-9 for the Stormin’ Blue & White by Mount St. Mary’s. Tech will then travel to New Castle, Del., for the Northeast Classic put on by Sacred Heart. The Bulldogs will close out January with the Prairie View Invitational in Arlington, Texas, from Jan. 26-28.
LA Tech will host the Bulldog Classic in Dallas from Feb. 9-11 at the International Training and Research Center (ITRC). The only other tournament in February will have the Bulldogs travel to Jonesboro, Ark. for the Mid-Winter Invitational hosted by Arkansas State from Feb. 16-18.
The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Singles (ISC) and Intercollegiate Team (ITC) Sectionals will take place at select sites on March 8-11. The final regular season tournament will occur from March 15-17 in Smyrna, Tenn., at the Music City Classic put on by Vanderbilt.
Postseason gets underway with the inaugural Conference USA Championship in Allen, Texas from March 22-24.
The Bulldogs will look to reach the NCAA Regional for a fourth straight season from April 5-7, with the sites to be determined. The top teams from the four regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships in Detroit from April 11-13. The top four teams and six individuals from the USBC ISC/ITC Sectionals will advance to the USBC ISC/ITC Championships in Las Vegas from April 17-20.
