A Dubach man wanted on theft charges was arrested last Monday when the truck he was riding in was stopped for a traffic violation.
Zachary S. Fisher, 34, was arrested on U.S. 167 in Ruston Monday afternoon after the truck driver was stopped following a complaint of unsafe driving. When warrant checks were performed, it was learned Fisher, a passenger, was wanted by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office, for theft over $1,000 but less than $5,000.

The driver handed over a used syringe commonly used to inject methamphetamine. Fisher admitted the syringe was his and that he smoked meth earlier in the day with the driver.
Fisher was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of drug paraphernalia and the warrant.
