Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to family and her incredible culinary talents. On July 2, 1960, Lynn married the love of her life Andrew Harold “Goose” Ferguson, and, together, they embarked on a beautiful journey of companionship that spanned over six decades. Their union brought forth four wonderful children: Chuck McGuire (Anita), Renee Ferguson Smith, Angela Ferguson Gallagher (Marty) and Amy Ferguson Caillouet (Kurt). Her legacy extends to her cherished grandchildren, who brought her immense joy throughout her life: Stuart McGuire, Kane McGuire, Joe Ferguson, Samantha Ferguson Smith, Grace Gallagher, Andrew Gallagher, Olivia Gallagher, Jacob Caillouet and James Caillouet. She embraced her role as a grandmother with warmth and grace, creating lasting memories with each of them. In addition to her biological family, Lynn’s heart was open to others, and she welcomed Hope, Michael, Mattie and Charlie Guillot into her family with open arms. Her capacity for love was boundless, and she embraced those she cared for as her own. Lynn was not only a loving mother and grandmother but also a friend and mentor to many. She was affectionately known as “Mama Lynn” to countless individuals who had the privilege of knowing her. Her welcoming spirit, compassionate nature and sage advice were sources of comfort and inspiration to all who crossed her path. One of Lynn’s most notable talents was her prowess in the kitchen. Her culinary creations were legendary, and her home-cooked meals were a source of comfort and happiness for her family and friends. Her recipes will be cherished and passed down through generations, a testament to her culinary artistry.
