The Ruston High Lady Bearcats (18-6) have the chance to secure the District 2- Div. I volleyball title Tuesday, Oct. 10, against Alexandria Senior High after completing road sweeps against Haughton, Pineville and Ouachita.
“We are excited for the chance to clench the district title next week,” Ruston head coach Mandy Cauley said. “That means a lot to the girls. We come in Monday ready to focus on our tough Saturday matches for the next three weekends.”
The Lady Bearcats bested Haughton first on Tuesday 25-19, 25-20 and 25-10, before traveling to Pineville for a sweeping final of 25-2, 25-13, and 25-8.
Finally on Thursday, Ruston swept Ouachita 25-9, 25-14, 25-14.
Ruston hosts ASH Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. in the Ruston Sports Complex.
