Day No. 2
A day after running away with the title in the SWIBC I, the Louisiana Tech bowling team made it a sweep on the weekend with the SWIBC II tournament title at Cityview Lanes.
“This week was truly a great event to get the freshmen accommodated to college bowling,” said Nantais. “Each performed very well at times, which gives me great hope for the future. The returners also had a great showing for the first tournament back. I think there are a few kinks we need to work on, but team chemistry is not one of them. I am excited to see what the rest of the season offers and next weekend at Tulane.”
Allie Leiendecker claimed the tournament MVP with a 1,518 total for seven games for a 216.86 average. She blew the field away the day before with a 229.75 average but only finished 23rd in total pins due to having bowled only four of the five games.
