Drug arrest follows suspicious person stop

A Ruston man was arrested early Thursday morning after an officer stopped him for suspicious behavior.

Bymicha Gray, 34, was stopped on Second Street about 2 a.m. when an officer noticed he matched the description of several reports of vehicle burglars and appeared to be attempting to avoid the officer. Gray provided a name and date of birth which was later determined to be false.

During a pat down, officers found a glass pipe for smoking drugs and a small plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine in his pocket. Gray was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer by providing false information.
