
A former Lincoln Parish Police Jury treasurer has been charged with felony theft.
According to Lincoln Parish Detention Center records, Christopher “Chris” B. Hyde, 43, of Ruston was arrested Friday by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The arrest warrant was served at Hyde’s residence about 3:00 p.m. Friday. Hyde was booked at the detention center with bail set at $50,000.

The case allegedly involves funds from a Ouachita Parish employer. Additional information from the Sheriff’s Office was not received by publication time.
Hyde was appointed parish treasurer in 2020 but resigned less than a year later in 2021.
