The Ruston High Lady Bearcats (22-7) finished with a sweep on the road Tuesday with a three-set win over Captain Shreve by final scores of 25-21, 25-9 and 25-15.
“Overall the girls played very well tonight,” Ruston head volleyball coach Mandy Cauley said. “We had a few hitting errors in set one that allowed it to be a tight match. Then we cleaned up our errors and won set two with an exclamation point. I saw some big swings from Cala (Wilson) and Shelby (Freeman) at big moments.”

Senior middle blocker Jade Smith finished the night with 13 kills and four kills, while freshman setter finished with 23 assists.
“Jade had an amazing night,” Caulsey said. “Harper was solid passing as well as Allie (Richardson).
Ruston returns to action at home Thursday, Oct. 19, against Neville at 6 p.m. at the Ruston Sports Complex.
