Ruston High runners named LHSAA All-Academic

By Kyle Roberts

Ruston High saw two cross country runners in Cole Magee and Thomas Rogers named to the LHSAA All-Academic composite team last week.

Magee and Rogers both were given the honor for not have a single grade lower than an “A” on their respective transcripts.

“What a great accomplishment for these student-athletes,” Ruston High principal Dan Gressett said. “It’s not an easy task to be on the composite all-academic team. It speaks to the hard work and determination of these students. While we love cheering for them on the field and court, at the end of the day it’s about also taking care of business in the classroom. I’m glad they’re being recognized for that.”

Magee and Rogers were part of the boys’ cross country team that won the District 2-5A championship last week at the North Louisiana Championships.
