A Simsboro man was arrested by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Friday night after he was stopped by a vehicle equipment violation and was found to be wanted.
Jamarcus T. Womack, 25, was stopped about 10 p.m. Friday on U. S. 167 for a lighting violation. The deputy smelled marijuana coming from the car but none was found during a search.

A records check showed Womack was wanted on warrants from Third District Court for felony domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property, a misdemeanor.
Womack was arrested on the warrants. On the way to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center, Womack admitted he had marijuana inside his pants. The marijuana was retrieved at the detention center.
Womack was booked for possession of marijuana and the two warrants.
