Arrest made after callers report man

Ruston police arrested a Farmerville man Sunday afternoon after responding to a report of a fight on Celebrity Drive.

The caller reported a couple was fighting and the man driving the car had gotten out and placed a knife in the trunk of the vehicle. A responding officer traveling east on Reynolds Drive saw a vehicle matching the description coming from the direction of Celebrity Drive.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver, Cade Robins, 23, denied fighting with his passenger. RPD had received three separate calls on the couple fighting throughout the day.

A records check indicated Robins was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a suspended driver’s license charge. The vehicle had no current license plate, no record of insurance, and Robins’s driver’s license was still under suspension.

Robins was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for failure to register a vehicle, driving under suspension, fictitious license tag, no proof of insurance, and the warrant. Bail was set at $2,000.
