Louisiana Tech opens its home schedule tonight when the Bulldogs host Lyon College at 6 p.m. at the Thomas Assembly Center.
The contest can be heard on 107.5 FM with Malcolm Butler (PxP) and Jack Thigpen (Analyst) providing a call of the action.
LA Tech (0-1) had a 10-point lead with a little over 12 minutes to play in the season opener at Colorado State. However, 12 straight misses on offense played a key role in the Rams going on a 23-2 run, flipping the game in their favor for an 81-73 win over the Bulldogs.

Three new Bulldogs – Jaylin Henderson (16), Sean Newman Jr. (15), and Tahlik Chavez (11) – scored in double figures. Newman Jr. also added a team-high five assists and three steals, becoming just the sixth LA Tech player since 2010 with at least 15 points, five dimes, and three steals in a single game (only one to do so in Bulldog debut).
After opening the year on the road, LA Tech will play four of its next five games inside the TAC.
Lyon College (1-2) is set to play its first year in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) as they transition to an NCAA Division III school. The Scots were picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll, returning 10 players including four starters.
They are off to a 1-2 start to the 2023-24 season, registering a 91-80 victory over Ecclesia College sandwiched in between two road losses to Huntingdon College and University of the Ozarks.
Kylon McCullough has been the top scoring threat for the Scots so far this early season, averaging 21.0 points per game. Trenton Bell, a Second Team All-AMC selection last season, is averaging 8.0 points per game.
Monday will be the first ever meeting between LA Tech and Lyon College on the hardwood. The Scots will be the first of six opponents (others being Dillard, Grand Canyon, Dallas Christian, Liberty, and Jacksonville State) that the Bulldogs will face this season for the very first time.
