Traffic stop yields drugs

A traffic stop by the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of a Dubach woman on drug charges.

Natasha D. Brown, 44, was arrested after drugs were found in her car.

After stopping Brown, a deputy determined her driver’s license was suspended and the vehicle was uninsured.

A search of the vehicle discovered a container with pills identified as amphetamine/dextroamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. Brown told the deputy the pills were hers. Rolling papers and a glass mirror with suspected drug residue were found in her purse.

Brown was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, and driving under suspension.

Bail was fixed at $10,000.
