Louisiana Tech bowling head coach Matt Nantais announced the addition of two student-athletes to the Bulldog program during the early signing period Monday.

LA Tech added Ashley Imhoff and transfer Jenna Stretch.

Imhoff, a Cabot, Ark. native, is no stranger to the bowling community and is the younger sister of PBA member Josh Imhoff.

“I have been following Ashley for quite a few years,” said Matt Nantais. “She is the type of athlete who excels in the classroom and competition. She has a positive attitude and is a definite team player. I look forward to Ashley coming in and positively impacting our team next year.”

Imhoff is a three-time 6A state champion at Cabot High School for coach Nathan Brown. At Cabot, she earned three All-Conference recognition and was named to the state All-Tournament team in its inaugural year of existence.

“The minute I stepped onto Louisiana Tech’s campus, I knew it was home,” said Imhoff. “I fell in love with the community that’s been created on campus, as well as the endless opportunities that are offered. I plan on majoring in mechanical engineering, and Tech had an engineering program I couldn’t pass up. The bowling team showed me a family with a passion to win, and it made my decision extremely easy to become a bulldog!”

She has participated in Junior Gold on three occasions, finishing as high as 36th.

Stretch comes to Louisiana Tech after spending her freshman campaign at Mercyhurst University.

“We are very excited to add somebody with Jenna’s talent to the team,” said Nantais. “Jenna will bring the same level of competitiveness that we are used to here at Louisiana Tech. She has competed against a few team members throughout her career, and it will be nice to have them as a team competing together.”

At Mercyhurst, Stretch was named National Tenpin Coaches Association DII & III Rookie of the Year. She also earned East Coast Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team All-ECC.

Stretch most recently on the 2023 U20 Junior Gold and is a member of Junior Team USA.

She also holds titles in the Junior Tournament Bowers Association in Ohio, Northwest Indiana Junior Tournament Players Association (Indiana), Elite Youth Tour (Illinois), and bronze medals at the Storm Youth Championships. Stretch also is a three-time state qualifier and 2021 OHSAA individual state champion.
