Ruston Police arrested a man early Tuesday morning after responding to a damaged property complaint on Apple Drive.
Officers interviewed an alleged victim about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning who said she and her boyfriend, Robert Grigsby, 32, got into a verbal argument. The victim said she took her baby and left their residence and went to nearby relative’s. Grigsby allegedly followed her and began banging on the door and cursing at her. He also allegedly kicked the door, causing damage.
Grigsby had left the scene before officers arrived.
Later, officers were sent back to Apple Drive regarding a report Grigsby had returned and was beating on the relative’s door. Grigsby was located at his residence and arrested for simple criminal damage to property and a warrant for failure to appear in Ruston City Court on an open container charge.
Grigsby was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. Bail was set at $3,000.
