
A Ruston man was arrested after police responded to a report of an attempted vehicle burglary Saturday evening.
Ruston Police responded to the 2500 block of West Barnett Springs Avenue about 7:30 p.m. Saturday regarding the report of a man pulling on the door handles of a parked vehicle. The suspect. Danquarian Williams, 39, was located nearby.

In searching Williams, police found a small bag of suspected crack cocaine and marijuana in his pants pocket. Williams was arrested and taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center where he was booked for criminal mischief and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. While being processed and booked, detention center staff discovered a small plastic bag of suspected marijuana inside Williams’s pants. He was also booked for introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.
Bail was set at $21,000.
