The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department arrested a Farmerville man Friday morning after he was stopped for a tail light violation.
At about 1:30 a.m. Friday, a deputy on patrol saw a vehicle on La. Highway 33 in Ruston with improper tail lights. The vehicle was stopped and a record check on the driver, Lazavius Davis, 21, indicated he was wanted by Ruston Police for failure to appear in city court.
Davis was placed under arrest, and during a search a large bag of suspected marijuana was found inside his underwear. Davis was taken to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center where he was booked on the warrant for failure to appear in court on a traffic charge and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $2,000.
