The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Dubach man for domestic abuse Tuesday.
A victim reported to deputies that Cornelio C. Morales, 38, had struck her in the face and pushed her to the ground because he did not want her at their residence.
Deputies saw an injury to the right side of the of the victim’s face. The victim said she obtained a protective order from Third District Court which was served on Morales later in the day. The protective order granted the victim use of the residence and prohibited Morales from being there.
Deputies went to the La. Highway 3072 home where Morales was found inside. He admitted receiving the protective order and understood he was not allowed at the residence. When asked why he was there, Morales said he had just left work and was hungry.
Morales was arrested and booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for domestic abuse battery and violation of a protective order. His bail amount was not available at publication time.
