Man arrested in domestic assault

Ruston Police arrested a man last Friday after he allegedly beat a woman in a domestic assault.

Officers responded to a Sikes Street residence about 9 p.m. Friday where the alleged victim was found with two swollen eyes and scrapes and bruises on her forehead.


A witness said Billy A. Brown, 30, of Ruston, had struck the victim in the head. The victim said she and Brown had been in a relationship for four years.

Brown was at the home at the time officers investigated and was arrested for domestic abuse battery.
