Remembering William Terry Stewart

Graveside services for Mr. William Terry Stewart, age 76 of Homer, Louisiana will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Dubach, Louisiana with Brad Jones officiating. Services are under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, Louisiana.

Terry Stewart was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 30, 1947. He was always living in and out of Lincoln Parish. He worked in the truck driving industry for numerous years. Terry enjoyed traveling and meeting people.

Terry lived his life to the fullest, he enjoyed seeing many places, and never met a stranger. He definitely had the gift of gab. His sisters say he should have been a politician!

Terry enlisted in the Armed Forces at an early age. Being a proud American, serving in the Vietnam War left him with many struggles in his life.

The love for his children was always there even though he wasn’t a constant presence in their lives. By the Grace of God, he was blessed having them back in his life. They were able to share stories of love, laughter and even tears.

Terry was a man of faith, knowing his last traveling day on earth is written in the Lambs Book of Life

Mr. Terry Stewart is survived by his daughter Vickie Kinnard of Shreveport, LA and his son Christopher “Chris” Stewart of Quinlan, TX; sisters: Paula and her husband Sonny Cupp; Laura and her husband Ricky Barmore, all of which are from Dubach, LA.; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents: Albert Leon Stewart and Dorothy Arlene Rush Stewart; and brothers: Ralph Stewart, Charles “Butch” Stewart, Curtis Stewart, and Ivan Stewart.
