
Three more arrests have been made in connection with the Feb. 9 shooting in Farmerville that earlier led to charges against local football star Trey Holly.
Sheriff Dusty Gates of the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the new arrests in the ongoing investigation of the shooting in a press release Tuesday. The arrests consist of one adult male and two juvenile males, now bringing the total taken into custody in the case to six.
The additional charges come after UPSO investigators conducted additional interviews.
The recent arrests are Eric Lee Jones, 18, of Farmerville, for illegal use of weapons on public roadway, a 17-year-old male juvenile of Marion for illegal use of weapons on public roadway, and a second 17-year-old male juvenile of Farmerville for illegal use of weapons on public roadway, illegal use of handgun by juvenile, and aggravated assault with a firearm. Their bail amounts were not available by publication time.
The incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Union Villa Apartments on Georgia Street in Farmerville. Farmerville Police, deputies with the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office, and EMS found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds at the apartment complex. A female victim had been shot three times and a man was wounded in the lower leg. The woman’s injuries were identified as critical.
The Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation of the scene and initially made three arrests, including Union High and LSU football star Treyvion “Trey” Holly.
Sheriff Dusty Gates said earlier that Holly, 19, was taken into custody for attempted second degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal use of a weapon. Gates said Holly turned himself in Thursday. Bail was set at $512,000.
Holly posted a message on social media, stating his arrest is the result of his misidentification as a suspect.
Also arrested early in the investigation was Jordan Ramond Jones, 18, of Marion. He was booked for attempted second degree murder and illegal use of weapons. His bail was set at $510,000.
A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with attempted second degree murder, illegal use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. The youth’s bail was set at $522,000.
