Peach Festival announces entertainment lineup and winner of poster contest

LVVRS will be one of the entertainment acts at this year’s 74th annual Louisiana Peach Festival.

The Louisiana Peach Festival is excited to announce its entertainment lineup for the 74th Annual Louisiana Peach Festival presented by b1BANK set for June 1, 2024, as well as other important festival announcements.

Headlining this year’s festival is the award-winning Austin country rock band, The Band of Heathens. The group is known for their fiercely independent approach to music-making and their unique sound that draws from classic rock, country, and roots music.

The Band of Heathens will follow a day full of live entertainment, as they close out the festival at 9:30 p.m. on the Railroad Park stage in downtown Ruston. Other performers taking the stage during the event include LVVRS, Tipsey, Hidden Tracks, Hali Brown, Josh Love, Jhaiya Davis, Beaux Atkins, Clara Rae, and Russ-Town Band.

“This year’s lineup has a really impressive mix of local and regional talent,” said Tori Davis, Director of Marketing and Communications for Experience Ruston. “We’re thrilled to be welcoming The Band of Heathens to Ruston for the first time, and even more excited that the public gets to enjoy such an incredible show for free.”

For the first time in more than 30 years, the entire festival will be free and open to the public. In addition to 12+ hours of live music, the single-day event will feature more than 100 food and arts vendors, interactive kids activities, peachy treats and eats, and more festivities.

Another highly anticipated festival announcement is the winning artist of the annual poster design contest. In keeping with tradition, the Peach Festival put out a call for submissions for its annual poster contest earlier this year. Peach Festival is excited to announce the winner of the 2024 Louisiana Peach Festival Poster Contest is Tiffany Clinton (see poster below).

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to create something special for a festival that is so cherished, in a city where I have grown so much and made so many great memories,” said Tiffany Clinton. “I really wanted to capture the charm of the downtown area and the locals because they are both a part of what makes Ruston so special.”

The poster, as well as other Peach Festival merchandise, will be available for purchase starting in early May. Festival attendees will also be able to get their annual keepsakes at the Peach Festival on June 1.

About the Louisiana Peach Festival
The Louisiana Peach Festival is the longest-running agricultural festival in the state of Louisiana, dating back to 1951. The festival was created by area peach farmers as a way to promote their industry throughout the south. Over the years, the Peach Festival has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to Lincoln Parish and pumped millions back into the local economy. The festival is produced in partnership by the City of Ruston, Downtown Ruston, and Experience Ruston.
