Diamond Dogs face PAC-12 Wildcats in 3-game set

Louisiana Tech will continue its eight-game road trip with a three-game series against Arizona starting today. Saturday’s game will start at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s finale at noon.

It will be the first time these two programs face off against each other, and only the second time in recorded program history that Tech has faced a PAC-12 school.

All three games can be heard on 97.7 FM with Teddy Allen providing the call of the action. They will also be streamed on PAC12+.

Tech (26-9) knocked off No.19 UL-Lafayette on Wednesday, ending its seven-game road losing streak against ranked opponents and snapping the Ragin Cajuns 16-game winning streak. 

Cole McConnell had a perfect night at the plate, where he went 4-for-4, RBI, 2B, and BB. Jorge Corona continued his on-base reach streak to 17 games.

Arizona (18-13) is on an eight-game win streak after beating Stanford 12-1 on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven’t lost since March 26, when they fell to New Mexico State 12-9 at home.
