Ruston Police arrested a local woman last Friday morning after she was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be wanted on numerous warrants.
Antanece R. Sykes, 38, of Ruston, was stopped for operating a vehicle with no inspection sticker. A record check showed Sykes was wanted on two warrants for failure to appear in Ruston City Court on charges of theft and parking in a handicap zone as well as three warrants from Third District Court for failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, excessive window tint, and improper lane usage.

A check of Sykes’s driver’s license showed that it was under suspension.
Sykes was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for driving under suspension and the five warrants.
