
A Houston, Texas, man was arrested in Ruston last Sunday morning after he became enraged after the driver of the vehicle he was traveling in was arrested for DWI.
Ruston Police stopped a vehicle for speeding about 2 a.m. Sunday morning and the driver was arrested. A passenger, Cesar Fuentes, 40, how he was going to get home since he was too intoxicated to drive. Fuentes became enraged, exited the vehicle after directives to stay inside, and began cursing loudly on the Louisiana Tech campus.
An officer’s report said Fuentes was obviously intoxicated with slurred speech and poor behavior. As Fuentes’s profanity escalated, he was arrested. At that time Fuentes said he was in a gang and told officers he would “— them up.” While be taken to the detention center, Fuentes allegedly told the transporting officer he would have his gang kill the officer’s family.
Fuentes was booked for disturbing the peace and public intimidation.
