A man was arrested for drug possession and traffic charges after he was stopped by a Lincoln Parish deputy sheriff early last Friday morning for improper lane usage.
Lee C. Trahan, 34, of Ruston, was stopped on East Georgia Avenue about 2 a.m. last Friday morning. Trahan said the clutch on the pickup truck had been acting up and it was difficult for him to drive.
A records check showed the pickup did not have insurance and its inspection sticker expired in August 2023.
A search of the vehicle located several glass smoking pipes containing methamphetamine residue. There were also suspected methamphetamine crystals on the driver seat. Trahan said he had smoked methamphetamine about an hour earlier. Deputies also found a bottle containing quetiapine fumarate. The prescription label had been torn off and Trahan said he had found the pills.
Graham was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane usage, no liability insurance, and expired inspection sticker.
