And the hits keep coming.
This one of the culinary variety.
Texas Roadhouse will be coming to Lincoln Parish soon as the self-labeled “legendary steak restaurant that serves American cuisine from the best steaks and ribs to made-from-scratch sides and fresh-baked rolls” will call Ruston home.
Ruston mayor Ronny Walker confirmed Thursday night that a Texas Roadhouse will be constructed along the I-20 service road running east in the parking lot in front of Irrigation Mart.
“The property in front of Irrigation Mart is being developed for a Texas Roadhouse restaurant,” said Walker. “The developer will build the infrastructure and then Texas Roadhouse will come in and build the actual restaurant itself.”

Walker said he was unsure of a timeline.
Walker said the developer for the project is Scott Deskins out of Ft. Worth, Texas. The LPJ was unable to reach Deskins for further comment Thursday.
The news comes less than 24 hours after word broke that Excalibur Family Entertainment Center is coming to the Sports Complex on the south side of town. It’s also less than a month after the announcement that Delta Biscuit Company is coming to the historic Federal Building in downtown Ruston.
“This is just another great addition to our growing town and community,” said Walker. “We appreciate the incredible investment this group will make in our city.”
