Louisiana Tech Tennis head coach Amy Sargeant announced Wednesday the signing of June Vigneron to the 2024-25 roster.

Vigneron, a 5-foot-10 right-hander from Fleury-en-Biére, France, will be a true freshman. She joins a recruiting class that includes newcomers Mio Kozaki, Maria Tsironi, and Alice Brook.

“I am beyond thrilled to welcome June to the Bulldog Family,” said Sargeant. “Not only will she bring a big game, she will also bring an energy that is contagious and one that will lead this team to success. I am excited to develop her game and get on court with our team next season.”

Vigneron was a two-time champion in her home country, winning the Essonne in the 15/16 years and the Seine-et-Marne in the 17/18 years. She was also the highest ranked player in the 17/18 years in the department of Herault with an individual ranking in the Second series.

She has played over 80 matches just this year, winning close to 70 percent of her matches while reaching four tournament finals.

“I chose Louisiana Tech because of coach Sargeant who gave me motivation to achieve my goal of becoming a professional tennis player and to go to a university full of ambition with a motivated and determined team,” said Vigneron.
