Remembering Brittany Gail Brunet-Jones

Brittany was born December 1, 1994, in Ruston, Louisiana and passed away peacefully April 29, 2024, after years of battling medical and surgical complications. Brittany enjoyed music, crafting and sharing a smile with anyone who needed one.

She loved animals almost as much as she loved her family and friends. She had a dream to help as many needy animals as possible, so we never were able to pass an animal on the street without trying to help. She was preceded in death by her grandfather and biggest cheerleader Thomas Brunet (Pawie) and great-grandmother Marion Woods.

Leaving behind to celebrate her memory are her father Nathan Brunet and step-mom Kenya Brunet; mother Mandy Callender; grandmothers Linder Brunet and Becky Wyles; grandfather Stephen Wyles; sister Kristen Brunet ; brothers Gavin Brunet, Zachary Joseph and Timothy Joseph; husband Tyler Jones; Aunts Tammy Coleman (Clint) Michelle Sessions (Bradley); Uncles Jamie Brunet, Steven Callender (Sabrina) and Mike Callender ; So many special cousins and cherished friends as well as and the entire Brunet/Baker and Woods/Wyles families.

Brittany was a young woman who when told she couldn’t, she found a way to show everyone she could. From the moment she was born she defied doctor’s expectations and surpassed milestone after milestone. Brittany was fiercely loyal, genuine, and kind. She never met a stranger and always made sure to leave you with a smile. Her personality was magnetic which yielded her many lifelong friends. Brittany touched the lives of so many and we are all better people because of knowing her.

“To know Brittany was to love Brittany and to love Brittany was to love life”. She touched everyone that she encountered, and we will all miss her more than she could have ever imagined.
