Dubach Legends solicits help, tax deductible donations

Dubach Legends, a group committed to improving the quality of life in Dubach, has been working to restore the town’s recreational facilities and spruce up the town with help from friends and donors.

Randy Rogers, founder of the group, grew up in Dubach and now that he has retired, has directed much of his spare time to restore the baseball field he played on in his younger days.

The baseball field restoration is just one of several projects volunteers have completed.  The nature trail around James Lake has been cleared and a dock and fountain added. A nearby pavilion has been renovated. Floodlights were added to illuminate the mural on the dog trot cabin on U. S. 167. Many more projects are anticipated as resources become available.

“A non-profit like Dubach Legends runs on monetary and in-kind donations,” Rogers said.

Residents and friends have donated cash, construction materials, and sweat to the various projects.

If you would like to help with the restoration of the old ballpark or other projects in Dubach, contact Randy Rogers at Dubach Legends, 1305 Whispering Pines Drive, Minden, LA 71055 or 318-268-0312.
